From the Principal’s Desk
One more year was added to my experience as a teacher and at the same time I completed one precious year as the Principal of this Premier Institution in the realm of Higher education. Always experience makes man perfect, in the sense that, one learn something from his previous mistakes. Highlighting on man’s experience, John Locke said, “no man’s knowledge here can go beyond his experience”. As the Principal, I learnt a lot to handle the difficult situations. But the everlasting support and encouragement I got from the College Governing Council, teaching faculty, Non-teaching staff, Students, P.T.A. and from the Alumni made my work easier.
One year after the Golden Jubilee year, the College is marching forward and one can notice the visible changes both in the quantitative and qualitative form. To chalk out the programmes, the annual General body meeting of the Alumni Association was organized on 19th June. More number of students are admitted to the First Degree Courses and thereby taking the total students strength to around 2700. To welcome and to give the basic information to the newly admitted students, P.T.A. organised the Fresher function on 29th and 30th June. At the same time, I am extremely happy to share my joy for the status granted to our College. The U.G.C. in its order issued in April 2016 granted the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” (C.P.E) to our College. This is a very rare opportunity to the Colleges like ours, which is in the rural area. The grant of C.P.E. status to our College itself is the proof for the quality education imparted in this institution.
Along with the routine academic activities the College is gearing up for the third cycle of “NAAC Re-accreditation’. In this regard, the College is marching forward with a definite aim, definite goal and definite destination. We have the belief that, education has for its object, the formation of character. Hence, in this Institution more importance is given for character building. We knew very well that, the only way we can reap more is by sowing more. We are having the faith in the strength and unity of the College in reaching the goal and we may not find it difficult in realizing our end. Because, by experience we know surely well that, all things are difficult before they become easy.
To take the Institution to still higher heights, I solicit the support and co-operation of the PTA members, Alumni and the General public.
With Best Wishes.
